In the scope of “New Tbilisi” project, segment of Agmashenebeli Avenue, between Marjanishvili and Saarbrucken Squares, was fully rehabilitated.First stage of “New Tbilisi” project began in February of 2016 and numerous rehabilitation works were conducted across this area. 47 buildings, among them 38 are cultural heritage sites, were restored to their original design: roofs were fully recovered and reconstructed; building structures were rebuilt; authentic facades, ornaments, balconies, doors and gates were reinforced; stained glasses and windows were replaced with high quality materials; historic porches and artistic works around them were fully restored on David Agmashenebeli Avenue. Within the scope of “New Tbilisi” project, plans are made for the Dry Bridge, Orbeliani Square and its adjacent territories rehabilitation next year.
